In one of the first teams I was placed in at Avanza in 2017 I got to redesign our discover page in the app. In the early years of Avanza the mobile teams hade different missions and the iOS and Android apps looked completely different. My job was to find One way of showing content on the discover page in both apps. This was our first “design in one way for what ever plattform” cases we tried out.
To the left is how it looked in 2015 in iOS (couldn’t find the Android version) and the right one is how it looked when built in both native iOS and Android. In 2017-2018 Avanza made the decision to completely base the apps on PWA (progressive web app) and only use web tech in the apps. So I redesigned the page again in 2019.
Then in the shift between 2019-2020 I redesigned the discover page again and my team built it in web tech instead of native.
To the left is the page from 2015. And on the right from 2018 we redesigned the page the same for both plattforms.
